Kill la Kill Review

Kill la Kill
Short Review:
When I think of the word anime I think: genius plots, in depth character builds and great artwork with a dash of excellent animation. May I say, this is by far one of my favourites. Not only did I fall in love with the idea, the family and the art work, I found myself wishing it may happen. Though maybe that’s a little far fetched and crazy. And life threatening. You didn’t hear that from me 😉 definitely a thrilling storyline, the plot wasn’t slow at all and I couldn’t help but get through it all within the first day. If you’re looking at this wondering whether or not to watch it…this is your command. GO WATCH THIS ANIME. You will not be disappointed.

Extension:
Ryuko transfers into Honnuji Academy, as soon as she arrives she starts questioning the student council who basically run the school- about her father’s death. The school council is run by the fearsome Satsuki. The students are all forced to wear tiered goku uniforms. Goku uniforms are made with ‘life fibers’ that allow the wearer to take on powers (superhuman abilities), generally fitting to their club or ranking. Oh yeah, that’s also a weird thing…accomodation is based on, you guessed it, the child’s standing in the school hierarchy. This is where it gets real interesting! Ryuko wears a ‘special’ outfit…’he’ is Senketsu, a sailor style uniform completely made with life fibers. She carried with her one half of the scissor blade that her father was supposedly stabbed with… Ryuko is taken on by the Mankanshoku family because of my personal favourite character- Mako.
Anyways, this is how the story progresses pretty much. Club season comes and goes, as do battles and other events. Be prepared for clothing as you’ve never seen it! It’s completely different. Oh yeah, did I mention her scissor blade can cut up goku uniforms?
